Peace Country Canada is an investment tool, a corner stone for the Peace Region Economic Development Alliance's (PREDA) strategic approach to attracting and retaining investment in the region.

PREDA is a consortium of municipalities, businesses and business groups across northwest Alberta having an interest in designing and managing a regional economic development strategy for the area.

In addition to investment attraction, PREDA has identified complimentary initiatives involving connectivity, opportunity identification, value-added agricultural development and regional tourism.

OpportunityNorth.ca is your connection to Alberta's north - a recruitment resource for northern Alberta employers. This site can help employers with your recruitment by providing information and lots of visual images of northern Alberta.

Created by the Northern Alberta Development Council with the advice of northern employers, this site is also useful for those considering moving to Northern Alberta as it gives a fantastic photo image of the area and supporting industry and employer information.


The Northern Alberta Development Council's (NADC) mission is to identify and implement measures that will advance northern development, as well as advise government on opportunities and issues. The NADC is a regional development council of and for northerners.

They act as a catalyst to identify, priorize and analyze northern economic issues and opportunities. They do this in partnership with the private sector, communities, economic development agencies, aboriginal groups and government departments. Visit their site to learn more.


The Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration's (PFRA) mission is working with Prairie people to build a viable agricultural industry, and to support a sound rural economy, healthy environment and a high quality of life. PFRA has been working with rural Prairie people for more than 60 years, helping them meet the challenges presented by a demanding climate and an ever-evolving agricultural industry.
